What Is the Worm’s Eye View?
The worm’s eye view is exactly what it sounds like: a low-angle shot looking up at your subject. As Cory explains at00:14, this angle exaggerates your subject, making it look larger and more dominant in the frame. It’s a simple trick that instantly communicates, “Hey, this is the most important thing in the photo!”
How To Achieve This Perspective
It’s easier than it sounds. All you need to do is get low to the ground and aim your camera upwards (00:36). There are a few things to keep in mind:
Lighting:Most light sources, like the sun or indoor lights, come from above. Shooting from below often means your subject may be shadowed. Consider using additional lighting or a reflector if you want to bring out more details (00:40).
